Acorn TV Shuts Down its South African Operations

The AMC Networks owned streaming company, Acorn TV has announced that they have shut down in South Africa.

In a rather unexpected turn of events, AMC Networks-owned stream, Acorn TV has announced that they are shutting down for good in South Africa.

The subscribers got to know of this with a message on the Acorn TV South African website which says,

We regret to inform you that Acorn TV will shut down in South Africa by the end of 2022. Please cancel your subscription by going to My Acorn TV and then Manage Account.

The streaming service as of now has not provided any further explanation into the sudden shut down. However, it has been reported that is can be a response to the local market conditions.
