ARCEP Togo Hosts Niger Delegation for Regulatory Exchange

ARCEP Togo and ARCEP Niger collaborate on data-driven regulation and quality management, eyeing future partnership.

The Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communications and Posts (ARCEP) welcomed a delegation from the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communications and Posts (ARCEP) of Niger, in working visit to Lomé to share experiences.

The delegation from the Niger Regulatory Authority, led by its Director General, expressed particular interest in data-driven regulation implemented at ARCEP Togo through the deployment of digital platforms, as well as in the certification process. of the ARCEP Quality Management System (QMS) to the ISO 9001 version 2015 standard .

This meeting of giving and receiving between the two sister institutions also allowed ARCEP Togo to immerse itself in the practices relating to the regulation of electronic communications implemented by ARCEP Niger.

Finally, the two regulatory authorities expressed their desire to establish a partnership agreement in order to continue their exchanges on other relevant regulatory subjects as well as a bilateral Free Roaming agreement between Niger and Togo in order to contribute to facilitate the use of electronic communications services by populations when they travel in one or the other of the two States.
