stc and Quilt are going to deploy Open Edge Cloud technology to enable the provision of an advanced CDN footprint.

stc Group, the leading digital enabler in the Middle East, has signed an agreement with Qwilt to deploy Open Edge Cloud technology, which will enable the provision of an advanced CDN footprint. Qwilt’s solution will also meet the needs of subscribers and content providers in the region, providing increased network capacity, consistency and performance assurance in delivering high-quality media experiences. This technology will also meet the growing demand from users and business needs, enabling them to reach the target audience and grow the business by adding new content providers and enhancing the end user experience.  

Under this partnership, the stc group will be the largest service provider in the Middle East to adopt the Open Edge Cloud solution, as this agreement aims to localize content throughout the group’s data centers to create a unified platform for multiple content providers, thus enhancing the quality of content delivery experience (QoE), and reducing traffic Traffic that travels across the world in terabytes.
