M-PESA Foundation Launches a Healthcare Project for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health

M-PESA Foundation have launched an integrated Maternal, Newborn and Child Health project at Talek Hospital in Narok County.

M-PESA Foundation has officially broken ground for an integrated Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) project at Talek Hospital in Narok County.

The unit will ensure that women have easy access to maternal care and include a maternity shelter so that high-risk mothers can receive specialised pre- and post-natal support to reduce the infant mortality rate in the county.

The facility will also be linked to Daktari Smart, its telemedicine program that will allow patients access to a specialist consultant from Gertrude’s Children’s Hospital without having to travel to Nairobi.

As part of our commitment to keeping with the Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs), we continue to partner with communities and county governments to promote good health and well-being by providing better maternal healthcare.
