Eutelsat OneWeb is strengthening its presence across Africa, as the company continues to expand its low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite service on the continent. In preparation for its high-speed, low-latency network going live for businesses and communities in Angola, Botswana, and Zimbabwe, Eutelsat OneWeb has been actively training local partners on the advanced technology behind the LEO network.
The recent training session was held at the NEC XON facility in Midrand, South Africa, where Eutelsat OneWeb’s technical experts welcomed key partners, including representatives from Dandemutande Investments Private Limited, TelOne Zimbabwe, and Paratus Group. The session focused on demonstrating the network’s performance and equipping partners with the skills to handle user terminal installation, ensuring seamless delivery of services across these countries.
As Eutelsat OneWeb’s network becomes increasingly available in these regions, the initiative underscores the company’s commitment to building strong, localized expertise. By training partners in the nuances of LEO technology, Eutelsat OneWeb aims to enable the rapid rollout of its satellite-based internet service, enhancing connectivity for remote businesses and communities across Africa.
