Airtel Money, Letshego, gnuGrid Team Up for Automated Mobile Loan Service

Airtel Money, Letshego, and gnuGrid launch LetsGo Pesa Loans, providing automated loans to underserved Ugandans.

Airtel Money, Letshego Uganda Ltd, and gnuGrid CRB have launched LetsGo Pesa Loans, an innovative automated mobile loan service. This pioneering initiative aims to bring financial inclusion to millions of Ugandans, particularly those in underserved communities.

Information is the next gold in the world. We partnered with GnuGrid because it can determine the willingness to pay. When Letshego comes in, they can provide the funds. With this, we do not need collateral; we can advance credit to people who do not have securities and drive financial inclusion because it includes everyone.

Mr. Japhet ARITHO, MD, Airtel Money

Opio Obwangamoi David, Executive Director of GnuGrid, speaking at the launch, said that the launch of this product is to enable Letshego to bring financial inclusion to the last mile that is financially excluded.

We embarked on a journey with a team from Airtel Money to find a solution to impact the lives of millions of financially excluded Ugandans. This product will reach out to young men and women who strive to change their lives.

Opio Obwangamoi David, Executive Director, GnuGrid

The ease means that a person can access financial services easily. This is more than a financial product; it is a product that envisions our striving for financial inclusion and customer interactions. We ask our clients to pay back to decrease our risk profile so that we can get more money and grow as a country.
