Airtel Opens a New Shop in Kenya, Empowering Remote Communities

By continually investing in its network and services, Airtel aims to make high-quality telecommunications accessible to all Kenyans, fostering a more connected and inclusive society.

Airtel Kenya has officially opened its new customer care shop in Mandera town, marking a significant step in its ongoing network expansion strategy across the country. This new outlet, the 68th customer care shop for Airtel in Kenya, underscores the company’s commitment to enhancing digital inclusion and bringing its services closer to underserved communities.

The Mandera shop launch follows Airtel’s recent announcement of plans to extend its network coverage and services throughout the North Eastern region and other Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASAL) areas. These efforts are designed to ensure that even the most remote Kenyan communities have access to reliable telecommunications services.

During a courtesy visit to Mandera County, Airtel’s Chief Commercial Officer, Aashish Dutt, met with Governor Mohamed Adan Khalif. Dutt highlighted Airtel’s dedication to expanding its network infrastructure in Mandera County and the larger North Eastern region. He reaffirmed the company’s strategic vision to provide every Kenyan, regardless of their location, with affordable, reliable, and convenient telecommunications services.

“The opening of our Mandera customer care shop is a clear indication of our commitment to bridging the digital divide. We aim to ensure that all Kenyans, especially those in remote areas, have access to the necessary digital tools and services for their success and connectivity in today’s world.”

Their presence underscored the strong collaboration between Airtel and local authorities to enhance telecommunications infrastructure and services in the region.

As part of Airtel’s broader mission to advance digital inclusion across Kenya, the new Mandera customer care shop will act as a crucial center for customer support and service. It is expected to provide local residents with direct access to a wide array of Airtel’s offerings, ensuring they stay connected and empowered.

This expansion into Mandera is a reflection of Airtel’s ongoing commitment to supporting Kenya’s digital growth. By continually investing in its network and services, Airtel aims to make high-quality telecommunications accessible to all Kenyans, fostering a more connected and inclusive society.
