As CABSAT kicks off, Eutelsat Group is set to feature its cutting-edge Sat.tv solution, a sophisticated electronic programme and TV guide tailored for free-to-air channels. Visitors can experience live demonstrations of Sat.tv at stand S3-B10 in Hall 3, highlighting its integration in both mass market satellite receivers and Connected TVs with built-in satellite tuners.
Sat.tv is revolutionizing how broadcasters reach new audiences by providing a built-in feature on low-cost chipsets, making it accessible for mass market distribution. The service is also being integrated into connected TVs, broadening its availability and enhancing user experience.
In addition to Sat.tv, Eutelsat will present its hybrid GEO-LEO network and various offerings in video and connectivity. Live demonstrations will include NativeIP satellite streaming solutions and the innovative EPG for FTA TV channels, aimed at enhancing content delivery and viewer engagement.
One of the key highlights at the Eutelsat stand is the DVB-NIP standard, which addresses the challenge of delivering high-quality OTT content in regions with limited local internet connectivity. This technology distributes IP-native mABR content via broadcast channels like satellite, ensuring reliable content delivery.
Eutelsat’s showcase will also demonstrate the integration of satellite distribution with a cloud production and distribution workflow for next-generation Direct-to-Home (DTH) solutions and 5G network feeding. This presentation is in collaboration with partners including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Broadpeak, DVB Project, EasyBroadcast, EKT, ENENSYS Technologies, Inverto, Quadrille Ingénierie, and ST Engineering iDirect.
