ICASA Releases Updated Frequency Assignment Plan for 2300-2400 MHz Band

ICASA’s new plan updates 2300-2400 MHz spectrum allocation, aligning with 2015 regulations and 2019 IMT Roadmap.

The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) has released the Radio Frequency Spectrum Assignment Plan (RFSAP) for the 2300 MHz to 2400 MHz frequency band. This new plan is published in accordance with the Radio Frequency Spectrum Regulations 2015 and the International Mobile Telecommunication Roadmap 2019.

This RFSAP supersedes any previous spectrum assignment arrangements for this particular band. It aims to streamline and update the allocation and use of these frequencies to better align with current technological advancements and regulatory requirements.

In case of any discrepancies, the latest National Radio Frequency Plan (NRFP) and Terrestrial Broadcasting Frequency Plan will take precedence over the RFSAP. This ensures that the most current and comprehensive guidelines are followed.
