NoOnes, the pioneering financial communication app led by CEO Ray Youssef, has announced its intention to revolutionize financial communication and inclusion in Kenya. Unveiled at Code Africa to enthusiastic acclaim, NoOnes is rapidly becoming a crucial platform for advancing the goals of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). The app leverages peer-to-peer (P2P) technology to directly connect Kenya and other regions of the Global South to the world’s financial systems, promoting financial freedom and equitable access.
Youssef, a native African from Cairo, Egypt, shared his motivations behind NoOnes, highlighting a commitment to addressing inequality and empowering those facing financial disparities, particularly in Kenya. He emphasized how P2P technology and cryptocurrencies have the potential to revolutionize financial systems and increase autonomy within the Global South.
NoOnes offers over 450 payment methods to users in Kenya, bypassing traditional banking systems to ensure transparency and secure transactions. The app pledges to share 50% of its revenue with users, enhancing trust through unprecedented transparency and protecting users’ financial data.
Aligned with the AfCFTA’s objectives, NoOnes collaborates with stakeholders to integrate Kenya and similar regions into the global financial fabric while respecting their unique needs and ambitions. Youssef emphasized the company’s focus on self-reliance and sovereignty, rejecting Western templates to empower countries within the Global South.
