Training Session Led by Commissioner Kassait Empowers Data Protection Officers for Enhanced Governance.

Data Commissioner Immaculate Kassait, MBS, inaugurated a two-day training session on Data Protection Impact Assessment, jointly organized with the Mastercard Foundation and Amnesty International. The event aimed to train 120 Data Protection Officers (DPOs) from public and private sectors.

Kassait praised the growing number of DPOs and their participation, stressing their pivotal role in advising on data protection matters within organizations. She highlighted the importance of DPOs in fortifying data governance frameworks, mitigating data breach risks, and safeguarding individuals’ privacy.
