Vodacom Tanzania, in partnership with Airtel Tanzania and Honora Tanzania (Tigo Tanzania Plc), has announced a joint investment of 32.5 billion TZS in expanding and fortifying telecommunication infrastructure. This strategic initiative underscores their collective dedication to advancing connectivity and economic development within Tanzania.

The formalization of this landmark agreement took place in Dar es Salaam, where representatives from the three telecom giants met with the Ministry of Information, Communications, and Information Technology. This significant milestone signifies a crucial stride toward providing comprehensive communication services to citizens and propelling economic growth.

Vodacom Tanzania is now an integral part of the Consortium of Telco Operators, reinforcing the synergistic relationship between the private sector and the government. As a result, approximately 3,000 kilometers of communication infrastructure will be entrusted to the Government, paving the way for enhanced connectivity across the nation. This visionary collaboration is poised to reshape the telecommunications landscape in Tanzania, promising widespread benefits for its citizens and economy.
