stc Group, the enabler of digital transformation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through its electronic gaming arm stc Play, participated in the Next World Forum (NWF), which was recently hosted by the Saudi Electronic Sports Federation in a strategic partnership with stc Play, and which was held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh.. The forum represents a platform Global leaders and influencers gathered to discuss the new horizons and opportunities generated by the emerging economy of gaming and e-sports, a rapidly growing sector globally. stc play is leading the development of many technologies to enhance gaming and e-sports experiences. stc play technologies and solutions have enhanced players’ performance to be more accurate and in line with the real time of games.
A dialogue session was held during the conference, in which group representatives of stc play and the Saudi Data Computing Company (SCCC) participated, where views on the prospects for cloud gaming in the Middle East region were reviewed. The technical aspects of this emerging field and their potential impact on the future of the gaming industry were also reviewed.
On the sidelines of the conference, stc play signed a memorandum of understanding with LG and a sponsorship contract with the Geekay Esports team. The memorandum with LG reflected the exchange and sharing of basic data and information related to the evaluation of proposed projects between the two parties. While the sponsorship of the “Geeky Esports” team focused on supporting stc play by holding special tournaments for the platform, creating content for the platform, and providing a non-exclusive global license to use the stc play brand and display it publicly, transmit and broadcast it.
It is worth noting that the participation comes as a continuation of stc play’s contribution to the development of gaming platforms through collective efforts, which opens new horizons for interaction and communication on a global level in this promising industry.
