The Ethiopian Communications Authority (ECA), Pursuant to its mandate under the Communications Service Proclamation No. 1148/2019, has issued a Request for Qualification (RFQ) for the second new full service nationwide Telecommunications Service License (License B) on June 30, 2023, and invited world-class telecommunications operators to come forward and take part in the exciting opportunity to operate within Ethiopia’s rapidly growing economy.
The RFQ process was ongoing, and the RFQ submission date was scheduled for September 15 , 2023. However, the ECA received concerns and requests from several prospective investors to extend the deadline for submission of the RFQ, which the Authority fully concurred.
Accordingly, the Ethiopian Communications Authority hereby announces that the RFQ Submission date is extended to October 6, 2023.
