Cell C, one of South Africa’s leading telecommunications companies, has appointed Rachael Ayo-Oladejo as its new Chief of Staff for Strategy and Business Transformation. Ayo-Oladejo, with over 17 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, brings a wealth of expertise to Cell C’s executive team, reporting directly to CEO Jorge Mendes.

Throughout her career, Ayo-Oladejo has excelled in various roles across enterprise, consumer, and customer operations. Her journey began at (Vmobile) Airtel Nigeria, and she has since made significant contributions across South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Notably, Ayo-Oladejo previously served as the Executive for Strategy, Execution, and Performance Management at Vodacom’s Consumer Business Unit. In this role, she worked closely with CEO Jorge Mendes as part of his executive team, playing a pivotal role in shaping strategies that fueled business growth and enhanced the consumer experience. Her deep understanding of market dynamics, customer behavior, and competitor insights allowed her to effectively orchestrate execution across multiple business units.

In addition to her professional achievements, Ayo-Oladejo holds an MBA from the University of Witwatersrand Business School and is a certified Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute. She has also completed various leadership programs and holds a Brain-Based Coaching certification from the Neuro Leadership Institute, showcasing her commitment to personal and professional development and driving positive change.
