No Merger Between Intelsat and SES

Reports have surfaced about Intelsat ending any talks about a merger with SES, a deal which was speculated to being worth more than $10 Billion.

Intelsat has now ended its merger talks with SES after the two companies were unable to reach an agreement.

The talk of a merger surfaced in March when the two companies were speculated about coming together. It was also reported that the companies were nearing a deal worth more than US$10 Billion, including debt.

SES announces today that discussions regarding a possible combination with Intelsat have ceased. On 29 March 2023, SES had confirmed that the company engaged in discussions with Intelsat and that there could be no certainty that a transaction would materialise.
