MTN’s MoMo Granted a Payment Service Provider License in Cameroon

MTN Cameroon’s fintech subsidiary Mobile Money Corporation has been granted the Payment Services Provider license.

To extend financial inclusion across Africa, MTN Group has announced that MTN Cameroon’s fintech subsidiary Mobile Money Corporation (MMC) has been granted a Payment Services Provider license by the Banking Commission of Central Africa through the Ministry of Finance. This will enable a much broader service offering by MMC.

When we established our FinTech subsidiary, the Mobile Money Corporation (MMC), our dream was to build a MoMo ecosystem accessible to all.

Today, we are proud to announce that MC has now been granted its own Payment Services Provider License, allowing it to offer even more diverse FinTech services.

We thank all Stakeholders for their support and belief in MMC to drive the financial inclusion agenda of Cameroon.
