DStv Announces New Adjustments in its Prices

DStv has announced a series of new adjustments of its prices of its packages for 2023. This will take effect from April 1 2023.

DStv has adjusted the prices of its packages for 2023. The updated fee schedule will take effect from 1 April 2023. The average 4.3% adjustment across all of DStv’s offerings is far lower than the projected CPI for 2023.

Premium subscribers will pay 4.77% or just R40 more per month. There are also further below-inflation increase adjustments for Compact Plus (+5.46% or R30), Compact (+4.66% or R20), Family (+3.24% or R10) and DStv Access (+7.5% or R9). Pricing for EasyView and BoxOffice will remain unchanged for 2023. ADD Movies has decreased by 20%, giving customers a saving of R20. All streaming-only services will not be increasing their subscription fees.

These nominal adjustments help DStv to ensure that South Africans continue to enjoy the best value, and unrivalled access to entertainment, anywhere, anytime, and at the most affordable price. Moreover, all streaming-only services will not be increasing their subscription fees.

The challenges and financial strain that South African consumers have had to face were considered and once again DStv absorbed as much of the increase of the cost of doing business as possible in order to implement minimal adjustments.

“The pressure that consumers are facing due to remnants of the pandemic, as well as the continued rolling blackouts nation-wide has not been lost on us. These adjustments will help us to ensure that South Africans continue to enjoy their favourite shows at the most affordable price.
