Zambia’s Fouth MNO, Zedmobile Officially Launched

Zambia’s fourth mobile network operator, Zedmobile has officially launched in the country.

In a recent announcement coming from Zambia, it has been seen that Beeline Telecom which is trading as Zedmobile has officially launched in the country.

Speaking during the mobile firm telecom launch this morning Technology and Science Minister Felix Mutati commended Beeline (now Zed mobile) for establishing a fourth network telecom in the country. Mr. Mutati advised the upcoming new mobile operator to creatively utilize a new entrant of a highly competitive digital market with cautious and thriving commercial dynamism founded on endurance and favorable service delivery to survive the digital market share.

And ZED Chairperson Kelvin Hambwezya recalls that a three-year conceived concept to establish an indigenous mobile network has been actualized and founded on a vision to sustain quality and paramount digital Zambian telecom with service delivery of inclusiveness in all aspects of society. Mr. Hambwezya said the Zed mobile network firm will be operationalized next year (2023) in July in its new market entry and provide its platform commencing a 5G network stretching to far-flung areas of Zambia.

I’m optimistic that the new operator will come with services that will cater for those who have been unconnected.
