His Excellency stressed that cyber security has become an essential ingredient to protect the vital interests of the Kingdom and sensitive infrastructure, and its sector is characterized by rapid development in the methods of attacks and the increase in their complexity, which requires countries to be in a state of constant readiness and have the ability to deal with changes in a flexible manner to protect assets and property and neutralize the threat of attacks He pointed out that the “Haseen” portal is one of the fruits of the Saudi model in the world’s leading cybersecurity thanks to the support and directives of His Highness the Crown Prince and based on the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and its goals. Spending efficiency and local content development in the sector.

The authority explained that the launch of the National Portal for Cyber ​​Security Services “Haseen” comes as part of its efforts to protect national infrastructure in accordance with a specific vision towards access to a safe and reliable Saudi cyberspace, noting that the portal was designed in a way that enables national authorities to carry out their tasks towards their cyber security. By improving the service delivery mechanism, automating operations and enhancing its experience by providing a unified portal for it to obtain emerging services and solutions in the cybersecurity sector, its services will target more than 400 national entities by the end of this year 2022.

The National Cyber ​​Security Authority indicated that the portal, developed by the technical arm of the Authority, the Saudi Information Technology Company (SITE), allows the provision of advanced cyber services that contribute to enhancing resilience against renewed cyber threats, improving spending efficiency among beneficiaries, and raising their capabilities in discovering and addressing gaps and vulnerabilities, and raising the level of Commitment to the regulations and legislation issued by the authority in accordance with the best international practices.

The authority also indicated that the portal includes, in its first phase, 4 platforms, including “information sharing, compliance management, examination of files and links, and e-mail authentication.” The information sharing platform provides immediate investigative information on local and global threats to help authorities take proactive measures. The Compliance Management platform enables to know and measure the level of compliance of national entities with the cybersecurity requirements and controls issued by the authority, while the e-mail authentication platform works to immunize and authenticate e-mail domain names of national entities to protect them from plagiarism and unauthorized use, while the file and links checking platform provides secure analysis It keeps files and links in an isolated environment and helps detect malware to reduce cyber intrusions.

The National Cyber ​​Security Authority is the competent authority for cyber security in the Kingdom, and the national reference in its affairs. The Kingdom, encouraging innovation and investment in it, as well as licensing individuals and non-governmental entities to engage in cybersecurity-related activities and operations as determined by the Authority.
