Orange Cameroon has inaugurated its new Digital Center in Douala. The news came with Orange Cameroon’s Communication Transformation Manager, Edwin ESELEM’s announcement about the same.

On Friday October 15th 2021, I was honored to host the inauguration ceremony of the Orange Digital Center, in Douala, Cameroon. The first of its kind in Central Africa.
Operational since June 2020, the digitalcenter offers free programs such as coding, creation, development and investment in startups. In just over 17 months, over 1800 youths have been trained at the center.
The event was attended by a high level delegation of top Orange executives: Group Chairman and CEO Stéphane Richard, Chairman and CEO of Orange operations in Middle East and Africa (MEA) Alioune Ndiaye,
Executive Director for CSR, Diversity and Philanthropy Elizabeth Tchoungui and Chairman of the Board of Orange Cameroun Elisabeth Medou Badang.The event was graced by the presence of the Honourable Minister of Posts and Telecommunications Minette Libom who was personal representative of the Prime Minister and Head of Government.
