Sitho Mdlalose has been appointed as the new Managing Director of Vodacom Tanzania following the exit of Hisham Hendi to join as the new Consumer Business Unit Director at Vodafone Spain.
The Group CEO of Vodacom, Shameel Joosub broke the news of the appointment of Sitho Mdlalose.

Sitho is currently Finance Director for Vodacom South Africa, a role he has held since July 2017. He was previously Chief Finance Officer for International Business, having worked at Vodafone Group for over six years prior to joining Vodacom. Sitho is an established business leader with over 19 years of experience in finance, consulting and management, 13 of which have been in telecommunications across both emerging and developed markets. Sitho’s appointment is with effect from 1 November 2021, when he will replace Hisham Hendi, who is set to take on a new role as the commercial lead at Vodafone Spain.
