Safaricom to retire its Platinum plan by end of August

After reviewing its products, the company decided to stop offering the plan. Existing customers will be upgraded to other plans.

In a statement published today, the company stated, that existing Platinum customers will be upgraded to the All-In-One plan or the new Karibu PostPay plan with non-expiry resources, which offer more voice and data.

To ensure a seamless transition, the Platinum plans will be retired on 30th August 2020 after which all Platinum PostPay customers will be migrated to the new Karibu PostPay, which is also accessible via MySafaricom App or the Safaricom products website.

Platinum PrePay customers on auto-renew will be migrated to All-In-One auto-renew plans, while customers who purchase Platinum plans on a one-off basis can select from the All-In-One plans available on MySafaricom App or by dialling *544# and selecting option 3 “Normal Data Bundle WITH EXPIRY” then option 1 “All in One Bundle.”
